If you are a frequent reader of my blog, you know that my SIL (Scott's sister), BIL, and nephew live in Miami. We try to see each other about every 3 months or so. The last time we saw each other was when my MIL and I went to Miami at the end of April. Since my SIL and BIL are both teachers, they get to visit in the summer while they are out of school. They drove to Alabama earlier this week. Katie and Seth are leaving Tuesday to fly to Seattle for vacation. They came to Alabama this week to visit before their trip out west. They are leaving Matthew in Alabama to stay with my MIL and FIL. I have been looking forward to them coming for a while. I had planned on going to my in-laws after work every night to hang out with my baby boy. I even was supposed to keep him one night while my in-laws were at a concert. I had big plans. Scott and I were going to take him out to eat, and I was going to shoot some photos of him in his new "big brother" shirt that I bought him. I was hoping to get a great picture to give his parents for their anniversary which happens to be the same day as mine. I also wanted to take him for his first four wheeler ride at the farm and put him on the tractor. My leg has put these plans on hold for now, but I WILL get my chance to spoil him rotten soon. Matthew will be here all next week while his parents are in Seattle, and Katie and Seth are going to stay for another week when they get back to Alabama. Hopefully, I will be up and running before they have to go back to Miami. They drove up to Gadsden today, so I could see everybody. It has been killing me knowing they are so close, yet I couldn't get to them. Matthew came in my room and climbed right up in the bed with me. I was so glad he remembered me. He was so sweet and gentle. I loved getting his sugar. Ah. I love that boy. Thanks for bringing me my favorite dessert, a double doozie from Great American Cookies. I loved getting that sugar too. Yum.
