I've been practicing A LOT with my new camera. As you can see from the pictures I posted, I haven't had any people to practice on. I've had to take picture of Scott's boots and pants because he has been very camera shy. Junior is a great subject, but I'm pretty sure he is even tired of the flash in his face. I am having company Monday night for dinner, so maybe I can convince them to "act natural" while I take some pics.

Mint Lady

I am declaring myself the baby shower mint lady. I have a baby shower this weekend and next weekend at church. I just made over 300 mints for one of the showers. If you live in North Alabama and need some shower mints, let me know!! How about that picture?? I used my new camera that I LOVE!! I've been taking pictures of EVERYTHING. I ate dinner with it around my neck and took pictures of Scott eating and our dinner. HA. I even waited at the front door from Scott to come in after taking out some mail to get an "action shot". If I wouldn't get arrested, I would so take my camera to work with me and take pictures of the newborns. I HAVE A NEW HOBBY. :) LOVES IT!!

Oh yes!! This beauty found me. The stars aligned and it was fate, so I bought it. My boss bought this camera for her DIL and son for Christmas. Her son didn't know, and he bought the same camera for his wife and gave it to her a few days before Christmas. So, my boss ended up with an extra camera. She got a really good deal and didn't want to pay the shipping and restocking fees, so she called me and asked if I was interested. I've been wanting this exact camera FOREVER, so I decided it was right. I'm getting it Thursday. SO EXCITED!!

The First Step is Realizing You Have A Problem....

If I don't show up for work Monday morning, I have been arrested by PETA. I wish I could say that Junior enjoyed his new pjs, but he didn't. He only kept them on long enough for me to take a few pictures. I'm sick. I have a problem. I thought it was cute. That is a problem. But, I'm not alone. I'm pretty sure that my mom bought the pjs for Junior. I get it honest.

Snow Day Feb. 12, 2010

Friday we got ~3" of snow in north Alabama. The governor went ahead and closed the health department Thursday night, and we are off work tomorrow (Monday) for President's Day. I really needed this four-day weekend!! Since I got the call Thursday night that work was going to be cancelled, I went to the movies to see Dear John. It did not disappoint!! Friday and Saturday morning we enjoyed the snow and drove around to take some pictures. The first picture is of a daddy down the street pulling his two little boys behind a four-wheeler on a sled. It was precious. We are expecting to get some more snow tonight. The only one not pumped about the snow is poor little Junior....he refused to walk on the snow. I need to get him some little booties for his paws. AWE!! The last picture is of my cutie patootie nephew because my blog needs some extra cuteness!!
