New Ride

Scott & I spent ALL day Saturday in Huntsville test driving cars. We narrowed it down to a Honda Accord and Mazda 6. I chose the Mazda 6!! I'm nervous because I've never actually seen the car we bought. I test drove a red Mazda 6 to see how I liked the car. The only other color they had was navy blue. I was set on a gray car, so the called around and have one coming from Tuscaloosa(ugh!). I got an email earlier today that it should be in Huntsville tonight, and they will email me pics. They are having to put in leather and tint the windows, so we have to wait until the end of the week to pick it up. I'm so excited. I forgot about price, fuel economy, space and went with the best looking, sportiest car. I did not stick to the plan of being practical, but Scott & I both love the Mazda!!

Sister Sister

I have a long standing love affair with Sister Schubert and all her products.  Well, it is time to RUN to the grocery store and get a pan of her cinnamon rolls.  OMG!!!!  Trust me.  Go.

My Jetta

I decided to sell my Jetta out of the blue one day.  It had 120,000 miles since I used to drive back and forth from Auburn to Columbus when I first started working.  I wanted something with less miles because Scott and I figured it was about to start having issues.  I was also tired of the expensive oil changes and all the "special" things you have to deal with when you own a Jetta.  I put an ad in the Swapper and a few days later the first looker bought "her" on the spot.  I wasn't expecting to sell "her" so quickly, so I am driving Scott's farm truck until I get back from Miami, shop around, and decide what to buy.  The big question....car or SUV??  I want a really small car with good gas mileage like a Civic, Elantra, or Mazda 3.  Scott wants something bigger like an Accord, Camry, Sonata, or Mazda 6.  My mom and many others think we need to go ahead and get a small SUV in case Scott and I decide to expand in the future.  I think I'm just going to keep driving the big blue Z until we decide.  I actually LOVE driving a truck.  We have even discussed getting a 4 door truck.  Our deadline is having a car by our first beach trip Memorial Day Weekend. 



Miami Trip February '11

 We're busy taking self portraits, enjoying the sunshine, getting haircuts, and mowing the grass.  The weather is PERFECT!!  I hope I can wait 1 more month until March 20th and SPRING.  We are flying home tomorrow :(.  Gotta go snuggle an 8 week old and wake up a napping 2 year old.

Miami Bound

Sorry for the lack of post lately.  I am going to try to post a blog with pictures during my long weekend trip to Miami to meet my new nephew.  I'm still alive and well.  I've been busy this past month deactivating my facebook, celebrating Valentine's Day with my honey, dieting, selling my Jetta, and looking for a new car.  More about all of these happenings soon.
