Dreams Do Come True

I knew before we were married that Scott wanted land.  Land for hunting, camping, fishing, farming, and riding four-wheelers.  I am so happy to be able to help him live out his dream.  He's happy too even though the fake grin (in the next picture) doesn't seem like it.  We have big plans for upcoming camping trips and bonfires.

29

I had the best birthday.  It started out with Scott making me breakfast in bed.  Anybody with a hyper yorkie knows that you can't have food in the bed, so I moved to the table.  He made me one of my favorite foods ever, pancakes.  He added the whipped cream and butter because he knows me.  He gave me milk because he still has more to learn about me.
Saturday was BEAUTIFUL.  Auburn wasn't doing so hot, so I took Junior for a walk and came back to find Scott on the couch with a blanket over his eyes....it was that bad.
The whole immediate family (minus the Miami crew) met at the Courtyard in Gadsden for dinner.
Cousin Taylor and his girlfriend happened to be there eating dinner too.
Gabe and Sarah
It was a duel birthday celebration.  Maw. Maw. will be 82 on the 27th.
Mom learned enough about pinterest to get me something off one of my boards.

Shopping Trip

A few weekends ago, mom took me on a little birthday shopping trip.  We stayed at the Wynfrey and shopped 'til we dropped.  Literally.  She wears me out.

Shopping for new glasses at Pearle Vision.
Mom, you should have really bought those boots....for me to borrow.  I'm really regretting not getting the camel ballet flats.
You always have to check out the shoes at Ross.
What??!!??  $19.99.  I don't think so.
Dinner outside at Firebirds.  Really great food.
Edgar's.  Ain't nothing wrong with cheesecake dipped in chocolate on a stick.  My RD license may really get pulled.
We couldn't choose.

Refurbish

On my way to my mom's house one Saturday, I passed a yardsale in Snead, Alabama.  I am always seeing people buy yardsale or thift store furniture and turning it into something great.  With my mom's help, we created a new bench and foot stool.

The beginning.....
The finished product.  I know the chair looks a little houndstoothish, but IT'S NOT.  Trust me.

I have the bench in my guest bathroom for now.  I can't decide were it goes in the house.  I do like sitting my towel on the bench and Junior thinks it's a great little sitting spot.

Brotherly Love

Growing up, Gabe and I were never allowed to have motorized toys that mom considered dangerous.  The worst feeling was watching my cousins ride around the neighborhood on their four wheelers while Gabe was driving me in our 2 seater go-cart.  Don't get me wrong though, I LOVED that go-cart.  Not too long after Scott and I married, we bought a four wheeler.  Gabe called me this week and told me he purchased a motorcycle.  I guess all of those years not having "toys" have caused us to want them as adults.  I went to visit Gabe tonight, and he rode me around on his motorcycle.  SO FUN!!

Chattanooga

Our anniversary was almost 2 months ago.  Mom told Scott and I that she wanted to give us a weekend trip.  We debated about whether to go to Auburn or Chattanooga, but football season had started by the time we had a free weekend and we knew finding a hotel in Auburn would be impossible.  We went to Chattanooga in our Auburn gear and spent the weekend walking around downtown, watching football, eating, and relaxing.

Scott made us leave a restaurant where we were watching the game when Utah started winning late in the fourth quarter.  He glanced at a TV we passed and realized that Auburn was making a comeback.  We stood here until the game was over.  WAR EAGLE!!
