Big Brother Casting Call

Scott and I are HUGE Big Brother fans.  I starting seeing on facebook that people were talking about a casting call in Leeds, Alabama that was promoted during the Big Brother commercials.  Apparently, it was being promoted on the Birmingham station and not on the Huntsville station since the audition was being held in Leeds.  I did some google searches, called the Leeds outlets to get time and date of the audition, filled out an application, got photos together, and planned to take an afternoon trip to Leeds.  Scott is kind of getting used to my strange ideas, but I wasn't expecting him to say that he was definitely going with me (not to try out, but just to go).  So, we went to Leeds a couple of weeks ago.  I was expecting a huge crowd, but I walked right in and they were ready for my interview/audition.  I was the 41st person to audition after 4 hours of having the casting call.  Really??  I was shocked.  I know A LOT of people who always watch and love the show, but I guess not just anybody will take the time to audition.  I'm sure nothing will come of it, but it was a fun day for Scott and I.  For the record, I will be on a game show one day.  It's on my bucket list.  I made it to the 3rd interview when I auditioned for Deal or No Deal.  And, you may remember the the Family Feud saga. :( 

Chesnut Bay Resort

Since the SIL, BIL, and nephews were in town from Miami, we decided to spend a long weekend together in a house on Weiss Lake.  We rented a house at the Chestnut Bay Resort.  We wanted to go some place sorta close since we were just going for a few days.  The resort was a perfect weekend spot!!  We enjoyed the lake, pools, cookouts, street party, and playground.  It was all fun and games until I decided to be "Cool Aunt Casey" and did a stunt off the swing that didn't end so good.  I'm just glad there aren't pictures of my accident. :)  Anyways, the family is now back home in Miami getting ready for a new school year, and I already miss them!!

Meeting Mabry

Mabry Grace was born August 2, 2011 weighing 6 lbs 10 ounces.  All the roomates and their significant others met in B'ham yesterday to meet the newest addition.  She was so tiny and precious.  All the girls passed her around while the boys discussed football.  I can't wait to watch her grow, but don't grow too fast baby girl!!
