Miami April 2010

My MIL and I took a 4 day trip to visit family in Miami.  We spent all day Friday on South Beach tanning and walking to shops.  Saturday, we went to Bayside Market to shop and eat at Hard Rock Cafe.  Sunday, we layed out at my SIL and BIL's pool and swam.  We drove to Key Largo for dinner on the bay Friday and Sunday night.  The Key Largo views are AMAZING!!  We kept my nephew, Matthew, Monday while his mommy and daddy had to go to work.  It was a quick trip, but we had a great time visiting.

Jersey Shore 2

Quick story.  I'm obsessed with reality TV.  I really just love it.  Scott calls it trash, and most of it is pretty trashy.  However, Scott even likes watching the Jersey Shore.  Well, I knew that the new season of Jersey Shore was being filmed for 2 months in Miami.  After some stalking computer research, I learned that they had a job working at a gelato store close to South Beach.  My MIL and I were at the beach all day Friday, and we went to get gelato after lunch.  Ronnie, Sammi, and Angelina were there.  Angelina was scooping the gelato while Ronnie and Sammi worked the cash register.  Since we got on tape, we had to sign release forms in case they put us on TV.  I would literally DIE.  I doubt it will happen, but I know I will watch every episode along with my MIL.  Ha.  My MIL didn't even know what was going on.  She didn't even notice the sound guys or the camera until I said something.  She kept asking me who we were trying to see.  We ate our gelato outside on the patio.  Angelina came outside on a break and sat right next to us.  The paparazzi was going crazy taking pics, so we may even end up in a tabloid.  I need a life.  I'm well aware.

Partain Produce II

Scott's plants are really growing.  He has already planted some of the seedlings at the garden.  He has been spending A LOT of time caring for his little plants.  Hopefully, we will have some veggies SOON!!

Mackenzie Turns 13

Scott happened to be out of town for work the weekend my baby cousin turned 13.  I still can't believe it!!  I was 14 when she was born and remember going to the hospital to see her for the first time.  I think she was the first baby I ever held.  Anyways, Maw. Maw. agreed to let Mackenzie have a spend the night party last night, and I came to help.  We had so much fun eating junk, watching movies, and talking.  I was so impressed by Mackenzie and her friends.  I definitely don't think I had it that together when I was their age.  They are the sweetest, Godly young women.  I only hope that I would have been in their click in the 8th grade.  Last night, Mackenzie kept saying, "In 3 years I'll be 16."  I was thinking that I'll be 30.  OMG!!

Spring has Sprung.....

FINALLY!!

I'm ready for beach trips, shaved ice, laying out, cookouts, mowing grass, fresh veggies, bathing suits, flip flops, yard sales, fishing!!  Two more weeks until my first spring/summer trip to Miami!!

Pajama Party

Mom had a wonderful idea to come and spend the night with us the other week.  She said she missed me, but I think she came for her grand-dog.

Scottie

Scott has been busy getting his seedlings ready to be planted, playing playstation, and teaching kids magic tricks.

My boss (that sold me my new camera) told me about an amateur photography contest in her hometown.  Every year in Moulton, AL they have The Alabama Chicken & Egg Festival.  This year one of the festival contest was submitting photos of "farm life" including livestock, crops, farming equipment, etc. to be judged for cash prices.  A friend at work has all sorts of livestock, so she took me on an interesting tour of the her farm.  I may or may not have screamed like a little girl when the cows came towards me, and I also may or may not have stepped in a lot of "droppings".  She laughed at me the WHOLE time.  The day that I visited happened to be the day that one of her momma sheep had a baby.  She actually had twins, but one of them didn't make it.  The baby was precious and would have been a great picture, but the momma wouldn't let me get too close.  I told my friend that she needs to rent out the lamb because I know some CRAZY mommas that would love an Easter picture of their child holding that white lamb.  I didn't enter any of the pictures below, but you will get the idea.....
